Morris BabyFace on Esther Smith rumoured relationship: “I was never her choice of a man”

Prolific music producer Morris Babyface has debunked all claims he once dated gospel act, Esther Smith.

According to him, he grew with the ‘Maye Nhyira’ hitmaker and fellow Ghanaian gospel sensation Noble Nketsia and he established that he was only close to her more on family-like terms.

The multiple-hit producer in an interview with Tracy Amoateng on ‘Restorations’ in April stated that the rumors came to him as a surprise and believes that some persons sparked up that agenda.

“I was in the same vicinity with Esther Smith together with Noble Nketsiah; we grew up together and I have always seen her as family,” he stated.

Morris went on to state that at the time, he did not qualify to be a lover of the gospel music songstress since his wild lifestyle was in sharp contrast to that of hers which was calm and godly.

“I was never her choice of a man and I believe strongly that my lifestyle was as a result, but we got to work together and it was not long before the rumors started emanating,” he added.

He went on to add that Esther Smith had at some point approached him that she was going to quit music due to pressures that came with the rumors but he encouraged her to keep up with her craft, an advice which birthed her hit album ‘Maye Nhyira’.
