The head coach of the Ghana national team, Milovan Rajevac has named his starting lineup for the game against Gabon with Andre Ayew leading the lines as the main striker.
The Al-Sadd SC forward featured for the Black Stars in the opening game of the 2021 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament game against Morocco last Monday.
Unfortunately, Ghana lost 1-0 to the opponent with Andre Ayew finishing the game in stitches.
After making strides in training and recovering from the injury, the experienced attacker has been handed another starting role for the Gabon game.
This time around, the forward is leading the lines as the main striker for Ghana with his brother Jordan Ayew deployed on the flanks.
Thomas Partey starts in midfield for the Black Stars alongside Baba Iddrisu while goalkeeper Joseph Wollacott is trusted to keep out Gabon.
Today’s contest between Ghana and Gabon is scheduled to kick off at 19:00GMT at the Stade Omnisport Amadou Ahidjo.
