Dawa (Near Tema),- The Love Nest Foundation, a Christian-centered Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) based in Tema, has presented some items to the Shekina Orphanage Home in Dawa in the Ada West District of the Greater Accra Region.

The items included bags of beans, maize and Gari, detergents, bags of sachet water, clothes, shoes, school bags and an undisclosed amount of money.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency during the presentation, Mr Nicholas Oko Ofei, Chief Executive Officer of Love Nest Foundation, said giving to the needy was a divine calling that every individual, most especially Christians, must consider a priority.

He explained that the Love Nest Foundation goal was to extend support to the less privileged in society.

Mr Ofei said during Christmas and Easter seasons, Christians must show love to people who needed help, especially orphans and widows, in the various communities.

He said the foundation sought to help scout and train brilliant but needy citizens to be responsible individuals in society.

Receiving the items on behalf of the orphanage, Mrs Ellen Annan, Founder of the Shekina Orphanage Home, expressed gratitude to the Foundation, adding that the items came at a time when the orphanage needed them most.

She said the items would be put to good use, saying the Shekina Orphanage Home needed more of such contributions to take care of the orphans in the home.
