Ligue 1: Ghana’s Kamaldeen Sulemana shortlisted for player of the month for October

Stade Rennais winger Kamaldeen Sulemana has been nominated for the French Ligue 1 player of the month for October following his stellar output within that period.

The 19-year-old Ghana star has been superb in his maiden season in the Ligue 1.

Sulemana has been consistent and puts up a five-star performance against PSG having assisted with a sumptuous pass to Gaetan Laborde in their emphatic 2-0 triumph over the champions in the month under review.

The enterprising forward has scored 4 goals in 12 appearances for Rennais.

The former Right to Dream Academy graduate has been shortlisted in the final three alongside OGC Nice’s Evann Guessand and Mohammed Ali Cho of Angers.

Kamaldeen Sulemana has been outstanding in the previous month having already made WhoScored.com’s U21 team of the month of October from all the European top five leagues.

Sulemana joined the French Ligue 1 from Danish side, FC Nordsjaelland.

He is expected to be named in Ghana’s squad for the final round of the 2022 Fifa World Cup qualifiers against Ethiopia and South Africa this month.
