Kuotokrom-Sunyani, – Reverend John Asare, the Pastor in-charge of the Calvary Baptist Church at Kuotokrom in the Sunyani Municipality has implored Christians and church leaders to lead exemplary lives for future generations to emulate.
He said “if we Christians portrayed ourselves well for our actions to reflect really on the teachings and deeds of Jesus Christ in our communities”, the world could become a peaceful, healthy and enjoyable place for all people.
Speaking on the theme “Christ Living in Me” during a Church service at Kuotokrom, Rev. Asare said whatever thing a man did had an effect on himself and the society at large, saying “our deeds should therefore be an example of Jesus Christ character”.
He stated that imparting godly-wisdom to the younger generation would make them to learn, appreciate and acknowledge the selfless sacrifices and hard work of their leaders to motivate them to build their lives and the country on a solid foundation of godly-principles.
Rev. Asare questioned the significant impact the church is having on the current generation and therefore entreated that the presence of a Christian must have a positive influence, both at the home and in the larger society.
He emphasised being a successful person did not necessarily mean the abundance of money one had accumulated but the number of people one had improved their lives spiritually in Jesus Christ, socially and economically to make life worth living for them.
Rev. Asare therefore urged Christians and church leaders “to reflect the image of Christ in character but not to conduct themselves as the worldly people who seemingly crave only for material things.
