Hearts of Oak midfielder, Gladson Awako has assured the fans of the club that he is returning to the club with a clean heart.
The 31-year-old returned to the club training grounds on Tuesday after months of failing to train with his teammates due to personal reasons.
Awako stopped training with the team before Hearts’ CAF Champions League tie against CI Kamsar back in September.
The midfielder has been out since and is yet to kick a ball for the Phobians this season despite signing a two year deal with the club having joined the Phobians from rivals, Great Olympics.
However, Awako was pictured in training on Tuesday morning, prompting suggestions he is back and ready to feature.
“The board and supporters of Hearts of Oak should forgive me and I will do my best for Hearts of Oak. I’m coming with a clean heart,” he said.
Hearts of Oak, are preparing towards their CAF Confederation Cup playoff game against Algerian side JS Saoura on Sunday in Accra.
