Berekum Chelsea have deepened the woes of WAFA SC after defeating the side 2-0 on Wednesday afternoon.
The team from Sogakope has this season struggled to compete and is now forced to fight relegation battle just eight matches into the 2021/22 Ghanaian top-flight league.
Today, WAFA SC hoped to secure a second win of the season when the team played as a guest to Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park.
Unfortunately, the performance of the team was not the best as they were forced to succumb to a defeat after 90 minutes.
On the matchday, two goals from Berekum Chelsea poster boy Kofi Owusu in the second half sealed the delightful win for the home team.
As a result of today’s defeat, WAFA SC have been forced to sink to the bottom of the Ghana Premier League table.
The team must find a way to turn things around or risk fighting relegation for the most parts of the season.
