Gov’t helping Karela United to win Ghana Premier League – Great Olympics’ Oluboi Commodore alleges

Director of Accra Great Olympics, Oluboi Commodore has claimed his outfit cannot win teh ongoing Ghana Premier League but has tipped Karela United due to the huge sponsorship from Ghana National Petrolum Corporation [GNPC].

The two times Ghana Premier League champions have been impressive and finished on the 2nd place with 30 points before the end of the first round of the football season.

But according to Oluboi Commodore, his outfit might not be able to amass the title this season as he believes they are competing with the government having provided all the needed support to Karela United through the GNPC.

According to him, the support from GNPC to Karela United should have been shared among all clubs.

“Olympics can win this year’s league but we might not because we are competing with the Gov’t,” Oloboi told Kumasi based Otec FM.

“All the clubs playing the league are competing with the Gov’t because GNPC and GH-Gas are supporting Karela Fc with the country’s money to succeed, money that is supposed to be shared among the clubs,” he added.

Karela United currently sit on top of the Ghana Premier League table with 31 points.
