Medeama SC have overtaken Asante Kotoko to become the league leaders of the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League at the end matchday 21.
The Yellow and Mauve outfit struggled to stay consistent in the first round of the ongoing league campaign.
However, after putting a run of good form together, Medeama SC has turned around their season and now in the race for the league title.
Last Saturday, the team from Tarkwa played as a guest to Asante Kotoko at the Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium.
On the back of a spirited performance, Medeama SC managed to come from behind to defeat the Porcupine Warriors 2-1 at the end of an exciting contest.
Having picked three big points from the record league champions, Medeama SC have now climbed to the top of the standings of the division with 35 points from 21 matches.
They lead Asante Kotoko with a point and two points ahead of the teams in third and fourth respectively.
Up next for Medeama SC, the team will play host to in-form Ebusua Dwarfs at the Akoon Park on Sunday, May 2, 2021.
