Karela United have seen their hopes of winning the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League title suffer a setback following a 1-0 defeat to Dreams FC on Monday morning.
The Anyinase-based club enjoyed a stellar campaign in the first round of the league campaign when they made their home grounds a fortress in the first 10 marches.
Unfortunately, the team is struggling to find its rhythm in the second round of the Ghana Premier League season.
Earlier today, the team resumed their matchday 20 fixture with Dreams FC at the Theatre of Dreams. The match was played yesterday but had to be paused due to heavy rains in Dawu.
Although Karela United had a good game, a late equalizer from Abednego Asafo after connecting to a well-taken corner kick has handed Dreams FC an important win at home.
Missing out on the three points, Karela United have now dropped out of the top four of the Ghana Premier League standings.
Now three points behind leaders Asante Kotoko, Karela United will need to win their next match in the division to make up for the latest setback.
