Ghana forward, Bernard Tekpetey scored a brace for Ludogorets Razgrad on Thursday afternoon to inspire the side to defeat Svoge 3-1 in the Round of 16 of the Bulgarian Cup.
In a match played at the Huvepharma Arena, the exciting attacker was named in the starting eleven to help his team look for the win.
Making his inclusion count, Bernard Tekpetey dazzled with his attacking play and opened the scoring for Ludogorets in the 18th minute on the back of a good team move.
With that equalizer separating the away team from the home side, Svoge returned from recess to restore parity in the 48th minute courtesy of a goal from Deyan Hristov.
Not perturbed, Ludogorets continued to dominate play and built patiently in a bid to get back into the lead.
Eventually, in the 57th minute, Ghana’s Bernard Tekpetey scored again to complete his brace while giving his team the advantage.
Three minutes later, Claudiu Keseru also got his name on the scoresheet to increase the lead for Ludogorets.
With Svoge unable to get back into the game, the away team has cruised to a 3-1 win and advances to the next stage of the Bulgarian Cup.
