Sadat Ayara was part of Ghana’s team that won the recent U20 WAFU Zone B Tournament held in Benin donated the jersey he wore at the competition to Oti Region-based sports journalist.
According to Sadat Ayara, the gesture was for his appreciation to the Nkwanta South-based Sports Journalist for his continuous effort to promoting players from the Oti region.
“We players from the region and those closest to you have received great publicity from you ( Sheikh Abito), the support you have given us on social media to ensure we also come to the limelight is highly commendable, I am very happy for the level of publicity and so I decided to give you the jersey I wore at the U20 WAFU tournament in Benin as a sign of appreciation,” Ayara said.
Shaibu Fuseini, popular known as Sheikh Abito who is a sports journalist with Beyond FM expressed his gratitude for the recognition from Sadat Ayara who currently plays for Kpando Hearts Of Lions.
For remembering me alone is indeed a great thing and I wasn’t expecting this honestly. I promise to do more to protect and project every player from and outside the region. It’s my prayer that you and others work harder and continue to receive the recognition needed.
I humbly wish you all the best as a footballer, and one day, you will go higher. He Concluded.
