Ghana forward Andre Ayew scores for Swansea City on return from injury

Ghana international, Andre Ayew scored for Swansea City on Sunday afternoon after returning from his injury to help the team draw 2-2 against Reading at the Madejski Stadium in the English Championship.

The attacker last weekend picked up a hamstring injury during his team’s match against Wycombe Wanderers.

As a result, the exciting forward had to miss Swansea City’s defeat to Queens Park Rangers in midweek.

Feared he will not be able to feature for the team until next month, Andre Ayew today passed a late fitness test and earned a place on his team’s bench for the match against Reading.

Coming on in the second half in the 64th minute to replace Liam Cullen, the Black Stars captain made things happen for the away team and scored with an assist from Jake Bidwell to give the side a 2-1 lead.

Going on to play 26 minutes of the game, Andre Ayew impressively earned a rating of 7.3 for his top displays to ensure Swansea City picked a crucial point.

Before Andre Ayew’s equalizer though, goals from Yakou Meite and Jamal Lowe had canceled out.

Later in the dying minutes of the match, Tomas Esteves scored for Reading to force the match to end in a 2-2 stalemate as both teams settled for a point apiece.
