The Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has fined Medeama SC GHS3,000 after finding the club guilty of breaching the matchday Covid-19 protocols during their match against Hearts of Oak.
The Tarkwa-based club on February 4, 2021, hosted the Phobians at the Akoon Park in an encounter in the Ghana Premier League.
At the end of the match, the club was dragged before the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana FA for failing to enforce the Covid-19 safety protocols.
Following weeks of sitting on the case, Medeama SC have been found guilty and hence has been punished accordingly.
According to the verdict from the GFA Disciplinary Committee, the club is fined GHS3,000 and must comply and do the payment in the space of two weeks.
Meanwhile, Medeama SC have been warned to ensure they adhere to GFA matchday protocols in the second round of the 20/21 Ghana Premier League season where fans are returning to the various stadia.
