Fabio Gama hoping Kwame Poku excels at USM Alger

Asante Kotoko midfielder, Fabio Gama is highly optimistic that his former teammate Kwame Opoku will excel at Algerian giants USM Alger.

Poku who was a livewire for the Porcupine Warriors sealed a move to the Algerian side on a four and half year deal following his impressive outing in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.

Gama and Poku formed a good partnership upfront for the Porcupine Warriors where the Brazilian midfielder played an instrumental role in Opoku’s eight goals for the club before his departure.

“Kwame Opoku is a very good player. He will go far if he does the same he was doing at Asante Kotoko at his new club,” Gama told Pure FM.

“He will be great at his new club. He is such a great personality,” he added.

Gama arrived in Ghana to feature for Asante Kotoko after agreeing to a two-year deal on a free transfer.

The 28-year-old has so far scored two and four assists in 14 matches played.
