Europa League: Ghanaian forward Brian Brobbey scores for Ajax in big win against Young Boys

Dutch-born attacker of Ghanaian descent, Brian Brobbey climbed off the bench on Thursday night to score for Ajax in the 3-0 win against Young Boys.

The two teams today locked horns at the Johan Cruijff Arena for the first leg of the Round 16 tie in the Uefa Europa League.

Prior to kick-off, Brian Brobbey made the matchday squad but missed out on a starting role.

Later in the second half, the talented striker was introduced in the 83rd minute to replace David Neres.

Displaying sharp form in the game, Brian Brobbey caused trouble for the defense of Young Boys to help his Ajax team to have the upper hand.

In added time, the youngster fired home from close range after receiving a pass from Ryan Gravenberch to seal a delightful 3-0 win for Ajax against the opponent.

For his 10 minutes in the win, Brian Brobbey had two shots on target to merit a rating of 7.2 from renowned statistics providers SofaScore.

On the night at the iconic Johan Cruijff Arena, goals from Davy Klaassen and Dusan Tadic contributed to the big win for the Dutch giants.

Today’s goal takes Brian Brobbey’s tally to two in the Europa League this season after playing in three matches.
