Ernest Akwasi Appiah donates GH¢1 million to KNUST

Mr. Ernest Appiah, the Group Managing Director of AMG Fertilizers, Agro Wave, and Enepa Ventures, has donated an amount of GH¢1 million to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

The donation is to support ongoing infrastructural projects and development at the Department of Public Health, Department of Horticulture, and the Department of Agriculture respectively, of the University.

Presenting the GH¢1 million cheque to the Pro-Vice-Chancellor of KNUST, Mr. Appiah revealed the donation forms part of his ten (10) year agenda, to ensure that, needed structures are established in schools to support the practical learnings of students.

He believes such investments will better equip students to appreciate and adapt to the corporate working environment, after school.

Professor Ellis Owusu – Dabo, the Pro-Vice chancellor, who received the cheque on behalf of KNUST, expressed their gratitude to Mr. Ernest Appiah and assured that the donation, will be committed to the infrastructural projects, as Mr. Ernest Appiah has indicated.

It would be recalled that last month, Mr. Ernest Appiah instituted a scholarship scheme to directly support twenty (20) students of the same university, of which he is an alumni.

Mr. Ernest Akwasi Appiah has over the years, supported to enroll over a 1000 young people, in various districts, back to school.

He has equally built over ten (10) classroom blocks in different communities, which keeps serving students, within the communities.

My focus is to support in creating a significant, positive, valuable, and meaningful future, for every young, bright, and underprivileged person through education, Mr. Ernest Appiah concluded.
