Jei Krodua (C/R),- The Elshaddai Group of Companies has presented hampers and some undisclosed amount of money to widows at the Restoration Hour Assemblies of God Church in four communities at Awutu-Senya West District.
The hampers, containing rice, canned tomatoes, sardine, cooking oil, spaghetti and hand sanitizers were to support the widows in the Church at Jei Krodua, Osae Krodua, Adawukwa and Papaase to commemorate the New Year.
Mr Kalala Nyamekye Eghan, the Chief Executive Officer of Elshaddai Group of Companies, who made the presentation at separate ceremonies, said he was excited to celebrate with the widows because life was just a privilege and grace.
“We are not in normal times, we must lead lives worthy of emulation, forgive easily and see ourselves as one people to always extend love and care for the needy in society,” he stated.
The donation also forms part of the corporate social responsibility of the Group to give back to society the blessings it had received from the Lord.
He advised the beneficiaries to strictly observe the COVID-19 protocols and take the vaccines to protect them from contracting it.
Madam Georgina Amoah, 60, a beneficiary, on behalf of her colleagues, said they were excited when the hampers and envelopes containing cash were handed over to them.
She told the Ghana News Agency that the gesture was a pleasant surprise and prayed the Lord continues to bless the members of the Group and their leader with good health and long life to continue to support the needy.
Reverend Daniel Kobina Abbam, the Head Pastor of the Church, expressed appreciation for the kind gesture and commended Mr Eghan for remembering the widows during the season.
He prayed for God’s blessings and protection over their families and associates.
