Election Petition: CODEO urges political parties to cooperate with the Court

The Coalition of Domestic Elections Observers (CODEO) is urging all candidates in the 2020 general election and their supporters to cooperate with the court as the election petition hearing continues.

CODEO recommends that both parties (NPP/NDC) cooperate with the court to determine the merits or otherwise of election petition.

“CODEO also calls on all stakeholders, the media, and the general public to be circumspect in their general discussions on on-going court hearings so as not to jeopardize legitimate processes of the court,” part of a release from the CSO adds.

While calling on the Inspector-General of Police and the Ghana Police Service to inform the public about the status of investigations of all violent incidences recorded during the election, CODEO says they will continue with the observation of the post-election environment and come out with findings when the time is due.
