DOL: Kobina Amissah confirms parting ways with FC Samartex as head coach

Veteran Ghanaian coach, Kobina Amissah has stepped down as the FC Samartex head coach.

The former Elmina Sharks gaffer who took up the job three months ago has left the club ahead of the 2021/22 National Division One League season.

The experienced and respected trainer was appointed the new head coach of the Samraboi-based club months ago after the departure of Bismark Kobby Mensah.

Confirming the news to Kyfilla.com, Kobina Amissah failed to dish out reasons for quitting his job at the club after barely three months of his appointment.

“Yes, it’s true I have stepped down as head coach of Samartex,” he said.

“I can’t reveal my reasons but it’s true am no more with them,” he added.

Coach Kobina Amissah joined FC Samartex after leaving newly promoted Ghana Premier League side Bibiani Goldstars FC.

Amissah led Gold Stars FC to finish top of Division One League Zone One after beating of Skyy FC, New Edubiase FC and Sekondi Hasaacas FC.
