Hearts of Oak on Tuesday morning posted a 4-1 win over Banana Inn FC in a friendly match as the side continues preparations for the tough encounter against Karela United.
The Phobians will in the upcoming weekend make the trip to Anyinase to take on league contenders Karela United in a game that they cannot afford to lose if they want to keep hopes of enjoying league triumph at the end of the season alive.
As part of plans to prepare for the match, Hearts of Oak has decided to embark on intense training this week with a few friendly matches in between.
Engaging lower-tier outfit Banana Inn FC in one of the friendlies today, the Ghana Premier League giants thumped the opponent at the end of the exercise.
On the matchday, Issac Mensah and Michelle Sarpong were among the scorers as coach Samuel Boadu’s charges made light work of the opponent.
Training is expected to intensify in the coming days before Hearts of Oak travels to Anyinase on Friday for the clash against Karela United on Sunday at the CAM Park.
