Christ resurrection, power for believers to rise too – Rev Dr Dzanku

Kpedze (V/R), April 4 GNA – Rev. Dr. Lawson Dzanku, Ho West Presbytery Moderator of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Ghana has said the rising of Jesus Christ from the dead has given power to believers to also rise from their woes.

“Jesus Christ has risen from the dead and has given us power to rise from the negative things that negate our spiritual, physical and economic development,” he said.

Rev. Dr. Dzanku was preaching the Easter Sunday sermon on the topic “He is risen” at the Kpedze congregation of the Church in the Ho West District.

“We should rise with newness of life and be clad with patriotism, humility and honesty,” he said.

Rev. Dr. Dzanku advised those at the helm of affairs of the country to make life meaningful and worth living for the ordinary Ghanaian.

He called on politicians to shed the gown of acrimony, be circumspect in their work and stop promising what they could not do for political gains.

The Moderator called on religious leaders to always preach the truth however painful it would be and warned against hiding in the Church for criminal activities.

He also called on them not to use the Bible for personal gains and urged Christians to rise from negative activities that held them captive.

He said the Church ought to be a place of happiness, peace and tranquility devoid of divisions and acrimony and urged them to have faith in God who alone could give them power to rise from their economic, physical and spiritual woes.

Rev. Dr. Dzanku advised the youth not to indulge in homosexuality and lesbianism which he described as an abomination and all other social vices that could jeopardise their future.
