– Mr. Prosper Harrison Addo, the General Secretary of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has urged Hasaacas Ladies to beat South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns as they battle in the finals of the CAF Women’s Champions League.
The two teams are set to make history as they lock horns at the 30 June Stadium in Cairo on Friday.
The Sekondi-based club, guided by Coach Yussif Basigi finished the Group stage with an unbeaten record defeating Malabo Kings by 3-1, AS Mande 3-0, and drew 2-2 with Egyptian side, Wadi Degla.
The “Doo” Ladies also edged Moroccan club AS FAR in the semis to book a place in the final with South African giants Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies.
Mr. Harrison Addo urged the team saying “It has been a long road and the entire country has been so impressed with your commitment to the journey through the women’s FA Cup, the Women’s Premier League, WAFU B Championship, and unto the big stage in Egypt.
“We believe you are in the best shape possible to deliver the trophy to Ghanaians. We believe that you will write your name safely and boldly in the annals of the Women’s Champions League.
“Going into the game today, repurpose that emotion in your resolve and willingness to succeed, knowing that you are an enormous asset to the entire nation and we are solidly behind you. Go for Gold Hasmal.”
