The head coach for the Ghana U-20 team, Karim Zito has set sight on guiding his team to defeat the Tanzania U-20 team on Tuesday in the opening match of the Total U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
The Group C opponents are scheduled to lock horns at the Nouadhibou Municipal stadium in hopes of getting a win to start the continental showpiece on a good note.
Speaking in his pre-match interview, Ghana coach Karim Zito has acknowledged the quality of his team’s opponents.
According to the veteran tactician, it will be vital for his team to put on a good display to beat Tanzania tomorrow.
“Though we have three zonal Champions in the group, for us, winning the first game is very important because it will give the players the motivation to push further in subsequent matches. We are taking each game at a time,” Coach Karim Zito noted.
The encounter between Ghana’s Black Satellites and their Tanzania counterparts will kick-off at 16:00GMT.
