CAF U-20 AFCON: Ghana coach Karim Zito eyes victory against Morocco to secure knockout spot

The head coach for the Ghana U-20 team, Karim Zito has set his sight on guiding his team to defeat the Morocco U-20 team on Friday to secure qualification to the knockout stage of the 2020 Total CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

Nicknamed the Black Satellites, the West African side had a delightful start to the tournament yesterday when they thrashed their counterpart from Tanzania by four goals to nothing.

Up against Morocco on Friday, Ghana coach Karim Zito says his team will go into the game to look for a win to seal early progression to the knockout phase of the tournament.

“Matches between Ghana and Morocco at every level are always tough. We are both coming into the game as zonal champions so we are expecting a very tough game.

“For now we will strategize on how to approach the game against Morocco to ensure that we qualify to the next stage of the competition”, Coach Karim Zito said in a post-match interview after the Tanzania match.

The match between Ghana and Morocco has been scheduled to kick-off at 19:00GMT on Friday at the Nouadhibou Stadium.
