CAF CC: Hearts of Oak plyamaker Ibrahim Salifu to miss JS Saoura trip – Reports

Hearts of Oak midfielder, Ibrahim Salifu is set to miss their trip to Algeria for their second leg tie against JS Saoura due to injury.

The Rainbow side recorded a comfortable 2-0 victory over Saoura in the first leg of the playoff round of the CAF Confederations Cup on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The 21-year-old had a fantastic game against the Eagles last Sunday having netted the first goal and was undoubtedly the creative figure and also the best player in the first half.

Salifu however sustained an injury in the opening minutes of the second half which had him substituted from the game with his place taken by Isaac Agyenim Boateng who subsequently came in to get their second goal of the day to seal the win.

According to multiple reports in the media, the ex- Eleven Wonders player is still on scan to determine the extent of his injuries but it has been confirmed he is likely to miss the journey to Béchar for the return encounter.

Hearts of Oak with a two-goal advantage will be coming up against Saoura in the second leg this Sunday at the Stade 20 Août 1955.
