Black Stars to camp in Qatar ahead of 2021 Afcon in Cameroon

The senior national team, the Black Stars of Ghana will camp in Qatar ahead of the upcoming 2021 Africa Cup of Nations [Afcon] which kicks off in Cameroon next year.

Milovan Rajevac’s side secured qualification after topping Group C with 13 points, ahead of South Africa, Sao Tome, and Sudan.

As part of preparations for the competition, the management team has decided to pitch camp in the Asian country and will engage in some friendly games.

The Black Stars will face defending champions Algeria in a friendly since they will also be having their preparations in the same country.

Black Stars were eliminated at the round 16 stage against Tunisia in the 2019 AFCON which was held in Egypt.

The four-time champions have been drawn in Group C alongside North African giants Morocco, Gabon, and Comoros.

Milovan Rajevac, who is on a one-year renewable contract has been tasked to steer the Black Stars to end the country’s 39 years trophy drought.
