The Black Stars of Ghana will lock horns with Legon Cities FC this afternoon as part of preparations for the final two matches in the qualifiers to next year’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
Pitted in Group C of the qualifiers, Ghana sits top of the table but on the same points  with the team in second, South Africa.
To be safe, the Black Stars need to win their final two matches to have the chance to secure qualification to the 2021 AFCON tournament.
With the last two games in the group stage of the qualifiers scheduled to be played later this month, Coach CK Akonnor has been preparing with some home-based players.
Having spent time with the players for weeks, the gaffer will today have the chance to assess the progress of the team when they play against Premier League outfit Legon Cities FC.
The encounter is being played at the Accra Sports Stadium but behind closed doors.
Sources say another friendly game will be played before the team travels to South Africa to take on the Bafana Bafana on March 25, 2021.
