Peki Adzokoe (V/R),- Mr Benjamine Kwame Opare, Chief Executive Officer, Benemef Foundation Sanitation, a non-Governmental Organisation, has donated clothes and food items to over 500 widows in Peki-Adzokoe in the Volta Region ahead of the Christmas season.
Mr Opare said the foundation aimed to reach out to the vulnerable in the society who do not have anybody to help, especially during this Christmas because the purpose of celebrating Christmas is to show love to the needy and the poor in the community.
Items donated included rice, cooking oil, drinks, biscuits, and dresses.
He explained that they targeted the widows because most of them had nobody to look up to during this festive season, among them were disabled, childless women, and jobless widows who were waiting on the lord for a miracle.

He said the foundation was working in the area of beekeeping training, mango planting, grasscutter farming, tree planting, as well as supporting the health needs of the vulnerable, assisting the education of children and women.
