Legon Cities FC striker, Asamoah Gyan has welcomed news of fans returning to the stadia this weekend for games on matchday 21 of the Ghana Premier League.
The Ghana FA prior to the upcoming matchday has confirmed that all top-flight clubs can admit fans to their various stadia to watch their matches but under strict compliance to the Coronavirus protocols.
Reacting to the news in an interview with Metro TV, Asamoah Gyan has lauded the decision of the football association while stressing the importance of the fans in a football match.
“It is a very very good decision because if we are playing and there are no fans at the stadium it makes it a bit difficult. Sometimes the fans play an important role in a football game so it is good for us,” the Black Stars great noted.
This weekend, Asamoah Gyan and his Legon Cities FC outfit will host Dreams FC at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
The former Sunderland striker is geared up to enjoy some minutes to help the team fight for all the available three points.
