Akatsi South NASPA elects executives for new service period

Akatsi (VR), Dec. 16, GNA-The National Service Personnel Association (NASPA) in Akatsi South in the Volta Region has elected its executives to run the affairs of the Association for the 2021 to 2022 service period.

Ms Deletsu Clarita, a Higher National Diploma (HND) holder in Marketing, was elected President and Halega Godwin, a Diploma in Educational Psychology holder from the University of Cape Coast won the Vice- Presidential slot.

Other executives are Amenu Andy Godson, Secretary, Tome Anthonia as Financial Secretary, Aguzieh Kennedy, Organising Secretary and Agbawu Deborah as Women Commissioner.

Mr Filson Dey Gameli, the Akatsi South Municipal Director of the National Service Scheme (NSS), in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) after the election, said it was important for the Scheme to keep the focus on fostering national unity for better socio-economic development.

He commended the service personnel for their readiness and acceptance to serve in challenging environments.

He appealed to Assembly authorities and school heads and stakeholders to help in the provision of accommodation for the service personnel.

Mr Gameli urged the personnel to conduct themselves in a God-fearing manner during their service period.

The executives pledged to ensure a conducive environment for every personnel.

A total of 100 service personnel, comprising 60 females and 40 males, have been posted to the various government Departments and Agencies in the Municipality for the mandatory service period, which started on October 1.
