2022 WCQ: Milovan Rajevac excited after securing all points against Zimbabwe

Head coach of Ghana, Milovan Rajevac has eulogized the Black Stars players following their win against Zimbabwe.

Ghana continued their fine form under the Serbian trainer as they recorded an important win in Harare in the matchday 4 game of the 2022 Fifa World Cup qualifiers.

Thomas Partey’s well taken free kick on the 31st minute secured all three points for the four-time African champions to complete a double over the Warriors after recording a 3-1 over the weekend at the Cape Coast Stadium in the matchday three games.

“As you all know, this was my first camp after I came back and I have to say that I am really really grateful to everybody; my players, the medical department, the technical team and GFA. We all did this together,” Rajevac said.

“I felt immense support from everybody these days so really feel happy because we managed to accomplish our mission to win these two matches and to get six points so that we can still be in contention for the World Cup.

“This match was hard as the previous one. I want to congratulate my players for the performance and also the Zimbabwean team and coach for excellent fighting and desire.”

Ghana currently sit second in the Group G log with nine points and will play Ethiopia next month in Addis Ababa before they host South Africa in the last game of the qualifiers at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.

Milovan will earn $300,000 if he is able to guide the Black Stars to qualify for the World Cup holding in Qatar next year.
