Karela United recovered from a defeat to Bibiani Gold Stars on Sunday to beat Techiman Eleven Wonders 4-2 in the Ghana Premier League.
The side from Anyinase last weekend shocked followers of the Ghanaian top-flight league when they suffered a 3-1 defeat to the league’s newcomers in what was a derby.
Wounded and looking to bounce back, Karela United did just that today when the team faced off with struggling Techiman Eleven Wonders at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park.
On the matchday, the hosts had a 2-goal lead at halftime courtesy of goals from Samuel Atta Kumi and Richard Berko.
Two minutes into the second half, Richard Berko scored again to increase the lead for Karela United to three goals.
Despite goals from Ibrahim Larry and Abas Ganiu, Eleven Wonders could not complete a comeback as a strike from Umar Bashiru sealed a delightful 4-2 win for Karela United at the end of the exciting contest.
