Accra,—The maiden GCB Bank Classic Golf Championship tee-off at the Bok Nam Kim Golf Course at the Army Officers Mess in Accra on Saturday, December 4.

Mr. Solomon Allotey, Competition Secretary of the Bok Nam Kim Golf Club who disclosed this to the GNA Sports in an interview in Accra on Monday, said about 100 amateur golfers were expected to participate in the one-day 18-Hole event.

He said the competition would be played in accordance with the World’s Golf governing body and the local rules of the Bok Nam Kim Golf Club.

Mr. Allotey said all the necessary arrangements had been completed to ensure a successful tournament.

He mentioned some of the golfers expected to participate in the competition, which had two categories as Chief Executive officers from both public and private institutions and organizations across the country.

Three prizes would be awarded in every category while there would also be prizes for ‘The Longest Drive’ and ‘Nearest To the Pin’.

Mr. Kofi Adomako, Managing Director of the GCB Bank would present the ultimate trophy to the winner.
