A solitary strike from experienced midfielder Joseph Tetteh Zutah has propelled Medeama SC to defeat Legon Cities FC by a goal to nil in the Ghana Premier League today.
The two clubs this afternoon locked horns at the Akoon Park to fight for points on matchday 8 of the ongoing 2021/2022 Ghanaian top-flight league campaign.
In a game where a number of chances were created by both teams, just a single goal was produced at the end of the 90 minutes.
Unfortunately for the visiting team, it was the home side that netted the goal to ensure the three points stayed in Tarkwa.
Captain Joseph Tetteh Zutah scored the only goal of the game to hand Medeama SC a narrow victory to send the opponent back to Accra empty-handed.
With today’s win, Medeama SC have continued the steady rise on the league table. The team now sits 7th on the league table with Legon Cities dropping to 14th on the log.
